Glamorgan Coast

The Glamorgan Heritage Coast stretches for 14 miles from Aberthaw in the east to the seaside resort of Porthcawl in the west. In between these two locations can be found Nash Point. With the towering blue lias cliffs this two location offer some breathtaking and stunning views out over the Bristol Channel. Adding to the drama of the coastline is the second highest tidal range in the world, with tides as high as 16m (50ft) on occasions!

Limited to just six participants we will start at the Nash Point cafe before sunset, heading down onto the jigsaw puzzle type rocky beach to start and taking advantage of the receding tide before making our way back onto higher ground as the light fades. From higher up we will take advantage of the iconic white lighthouse and associated outbuildings where we will search out compositions in ready for the hunt for the milky-way (cloud cover permitting).

N.B. The weather is the one thing we cannot control and despite doing our best to plan as much as possible sometimes mother nature has different plans. We don’t cancel workshops if there is rain or cloud and may decide to move to an alternative location in an attempt to find a break in the clouds. If there is no success due to the weather conditions, participants who attend the workshop will have the option of a 15% refund or transferring any monies paid on to a future workshop of equal or greater value.
